    Thats pulling like a V4R up the top of the rev range.

    I have been looking at the odd gear set and it makes sense now. It is almost the Roads gear set ratios.
    I think Honda secretly wants to clean up at the NW and TT more than they do in WSBK ;)
    The 214bhp is being masterfully delivered. With the full exhaust, HRC ECU and 1 tooth down in front this bike could just be the ultimate Honda.

    That honestly looks like an absolute weapon! The pull on it in the mid to high end, jeez!

    I think it will be the gentleman's agreement the bike manufacturers have, that no production bike will exceed 186mph displayed, but it's obvious that the revs keep rising, and two more gears to go :D

    Revs max out at 12.5k = 299kph. what about the other 2k. I'll bet the race bikes are amazing

    I wouldn't get too excited just because the speedo shows 299 in 5th at 12000 revs or whatever.
    The speedo will be inaccurate they all are it's just a case of how much.
    I've seen sc77 models showing the same 299 in 5th etc but when its overlaid with gps datalogging it was more like 275 and only surpassed the true 299 in 6th and I think it topped out at 305
    That said a true 190 ish should be readily available

    The bike tagged 14k in 5th. And there is plenty of reason to be excited performance wise. This gearing setup is demonstrably faster than any stock geared SC77 could be.

    These are all Ducati V4 numbers. And similarly powered and geared V4s pull about 15mph on even strongly ridden stock geared SP2s.

    Not sure what a bike tagged 14k in 5th means?
    Anywsy I'm.not dissing its performance at all what I'm saying the data logging will be available soon and that will show us all the true numbers rather than a video of a speedo meter. Then we can get excited or otherwise :D

    The motorcycle portrayed in the video footage uploaded to the YouTube streaming platform that was subsequently linked in a message post made in this thread, portrayed by way of sequential moving images 14,000rpm on the tachometer, all while the gear selection numeric display indicated it was in 5th gear.

    It wasn't that cryptic of a statement.

    And I have put the gearing data into Gearing Commander and for the most part the speeds displayed in the gears at the rpms are within 5 to 8kmh

    This bike is stupid fast. Now some of the excess revs can be attributed to being on the side of the tire and the appropriate gearing change but still I am going to predict the bike runs deep into the 315 to 325kmh range with very little effort.

    Stock sprockets are 16/40 fer Chris'sakes!!!! I think Honda means to make some kind of statement with the SC82.

    Never mind 299 in 5th, it was showing 299 in 4th.. :eek:

    That's probably a good 310kmh at a true 12,500rpm 6th.
    Tagging 14k in 5th should be good for 315kmh
    6th is way tall and so I can see 5th being the practical top gear if you add a tooth to the rear sprocket.

    It’s all about the revs and keeping it in the sweet spot... sounds and builds power up the top similar to the V4 Pani! Mine generally never comes out of 4th gear, occasionally 5th, 6th is pretty redundant and that’s even with a tooth less on the front. What I’m more interested in is how it builds from lower too midrange?? The V4 is really strong and just relentless all the way up too the redline:D

    Had a test ride today with 1/2 throttle + 10,000 rpm restriction and boy, it absolutely FLIES when getting to 6k rpm+
    Comfort for me was great, I'm slim and 5'9". Hands got a bit tingly and arse got a little sore but that was after about an hour of riding. Dropped the bike back after a total of 90mins riding. Lost track of the time slightly ;)

    Anyway, confirmed for me that it's worth it, not as cramped/uncomfortable as I thought (for my measurements).
    Officially signed the paperwork and pick up the bike on Saturday afternoon! :D

    Edit: oh and the sound! When it opens at 4000rpm, it's a whole different orchestra!

    Good lad, knew you'd enjoy it. I agree with you on riding position and had no problem with the peg height. I've covered over 300 miles now and have used full throttle a couple of time, oh boy oh boy, does she fly.
    Yes seat is little hard and after 2 days of riding arse is killing, good job its raining today.

    I'm trying one on Friday... Had a good bounce around and better look in detail.... blimey the pegs are high!! I'm relatively flexible but can see this being an issue for some.... everything else felt good. Bar reach isn't that drastic, seat hight was good....More out of curiosity and looking forward to seeing what it's all about on Friday! Thankfully forecast sunny all day.... Ooosh

    My Super matches the new Triple R peg-seat-bar layout pretty closely, my pegs are 10mm higher I think and it really is a good healthy stretch for the legs.
    Ergos may be the biggest departure from traditional street Fireblade specs for most.
