watch those tyres steve having seen that lad bin his new gixer on you tube. welcome to the repsol club!
I forgot to take a 1 mile pic, I was sooooooo excited I jumped on the bike, pulled away like a granny on a scooter (I have seen the gixer on you tube), then arrived home after 50 miles with a stupid grin on my face. I would ask the dealer to swap tyres before you pic it up as I hated the OE bridgestones, at least then they can discount the new ones against the old, and you have peace of mind that the front wont just randomly wash out on you !!! OK then peeps - bike here on Tuesday (I think I mentioned it) - Running in; lets have the expert opinions. Is running in to the manual the best way? I have heard in the past to run in at higher revs that recommended. I guess as long as the engine is not laboured or thrashed it doesnt matter that much? Comments and advice please...............
I think as long as the revs are varied, then you'll be ok. I occasionally took mine upto 10k to seat the rings in, but didn't thrash it until the first service.
Yup let it rev .. but not in the higher gears . Don't let it labour in the higher gears . Or get it run in on a dyno in a few hours
He will be in the garage drooling over it as we speak......................................i know i would be lol
i see the new blade at the NEC bike show looks sexy as hell BUT i dont think its changed that much i would wait mate for a complete revamp shouldnt be long me thinks
