Interesting. I haven't done that when I went from HRC (blue on V5) to Castrol. Not sure if there'd be a fine involved, or if I, or anyone else, said that the originals are being painted/repaired. If we have to advise DVLA, I'd imagine there'd be reams of paperwork, affidavits, and a blessing by the Pope before the change would be accepted.
I wondered the same when I had to replace my fairings, so went from black to carbon to keep things simple

That's a ripping price!! It's a good look, too. I'm fairly sure a forum member has that livery. Can't remember his name; hasn't been around for a while.
