I wear earplugs and always have but never found mine that loud once I adjusted the visor to fit properly, it was noisy prior to this. The quick release system is known to make it quieter also.
As said there is a thread on here about them some where, I have had mine for almost a year now and very pleased. Ticks all the boxes for me, you wont be disapointed
