Thanks for the massive amount of 'welcomes', seems a nice and friendly forum which is a welcome change from some I've used in the past. Remal....got my Kriega rucksack from the guys at Dainese in Bristol...great service and a fun visit....most stuff I can either get through work, or order through them at discount anyway though I do like visiting other shops to get out and about. One question if anyone's still reading this though.....I was told by a friend when I mentioned looking at 04/05 plates to avoid and go for either 07+ or 929/954s...when I asked why all I got was 'cos they're better'...better in any particular way?? Bearing in mind that I've been riding off and on 20+ years but only on bigger bikes for about a year and fully up to admit that I am constantly learning, I wonder if the 'better' part comes at a level of the bike's ability I wouldn't immediately be exploring?
Well that's largely subjective in all honesty... I think the 04/05 got a little slated when it first arrived coz it was so much heavier than the 954 that preceeded it...... but I wouldn't have thought the average rider (myself included) would really care. Whereabouts in Clevedon do you live?
Ta, I'll grab a copy tomorrow. Almost town centre....looks like a bike park at times out the front LOL.
I know them Very well but interested to read what experiences people have had with them, I do not see or use them much anymore but have know them for many years and find it a real shame that people have had a bad experance. Not for me or CM but for you guys. Did you guys talk to Chris the boss about these issues u had
Interesting re the get things via work? what do you do for a Job John? and glad you found the Por shop bloody helpful and nice people there. Got my last 2 pairs of gloves and 2 piece leathers from them
No mate... when I found out I was just about to jump in the car and go smack him one, but my missus stopped me and calmed me down. (To be clear though, this was before he took over Clevedon Motorcycles, whilst he was running "Bikers Division" in Nailsea) To be honest, I only ever used to go to Clevedon Motorcycles for MOTs as I am a sucker for having a big-name dealership stamp in my service booklet, and their lack of hire-bike facilities makes it very difficult for me to use them. I honestly do wish the guy luck, and hope he can make a success of it, because its great having a motorbike shop in such a small town... but I'm afraid to say I hear nothing but bad words about the place these days.
Sorry to hear that Gappy, As I said All I would want for anyone on here is to get a good service as bikes are a Minority I've had good and bad service from dealers and shops in Bristol. Many go on about JHS racing which is about 5 mins from me but I've always had a great service from James and his team there and why my bike goes back to him for any work that needs to be done. Hoping ohlins front and rear suspension may be added next Spring ready for my trackdays
I did go back to discuss issues to be told that it wasn't their fault, the bike was obviously a lemon and I should get shot of it.....that was my last dealing with them. Jobwise...I sell motorbikes for a living and have snt all day staring at 2 of the Blades I mentioned above!!!
Ahh so u work for Fowlers then John? only place I can think of near Temple meads. or kwak? I know fowlers well and bought my speed Triple from there
Guilty as charged....in the Honda showroom. One plus is that I get to see all the history of bikes that come in, which is why the black 1 is now off my list. Bad thing is salesroom managers don't do sales guys much better deals than public on bikes really.
Welcome to the forum, I am working in bristol at the moment but live in yeovil I have a stunning 11 plate HRC for sale if you look in the bikes for sale cheeky, but thought I would get it in there and the price is negotiable (within reason lol)
I I dealt with I think it was Matt, a young chap when I inquired about a blade last year. I think it was a Matt who works in the Honda Showroom
Probably was Matt, he spent some time down in the Honda showroom but moved over to scooters. If you're ever down there feel free to pop in and say 'hi'. I think its fair to say that the Honda showroom is a different dynamic to the main building, not many like being stuck over on one side out on a limb. Personally I love it.
hello & welcome Just joined recently and for £3850.00 I got an 06 in black with 17k on clock, and well chuffed...
