I was talking to dan linfoot on Monday night.. My superbike is his 2013 go moto bike.. Proper tool he said ha
Just got told the other day 29 hour job from bike on ramp , engine out split and remove gearbox . Put new gearbox in reassemble engine and put engine back in bike, etc etc. I reckon that's £1500 labour alone plus price of a new gearbox
Yam are quoting 16 hours (but that might be conservative?) engine out, clutch out, gen off, take bottom off, swap gears for new one already on their shafts and put iit all back together again it is so much easier with the my blade 05 cassette gearebox, come I guess it weighs more and Yam going for weight reduction (199kg wet)
Imagine each one they do will be a bit quicker , thought r1 was a cassette gearbox that swapped out ?
No it not and that's why its 16+ hours work, its all part of the engine, hence having to split the bottom end off
