I sent Carl a good luck test yesterday morning and still haven’t had any reply. Come on Carl..........lets have it.
Sorry guys, been a bit pissed off, collected the bike, 4 miles home and my son wanted to sit on it(he is 19!) I went in the garage to collect my new screen and the sound of my new bike crashing to the ground turned my stomach, the fall was to the left, no fairing damage, mirror is marked but the bad bit is 1 inch mark on the engine casing, not the best of days to say the least. 50 miles today and I can already see the difference from the rr5 as for pics, note I don't wear glasses, and on the others pic you will see my wife and her sister
Your heart must of sank!! Not an ideal 1st day for a new bike. Just get some gb racing engine covers to cover the mark if possible, could of been alit worse tho!!! At least you managed to get out on it today
I know the feeling dude (New mirror from ebay) Gb covers and a stiff drink and jobs a good un .Anyhow about the Wife and sister ''you were saying'' ? OPP'S back to the thread.
Carl. My heart goes out for you mate. I keep looking at the first picture though and none of the damage is noticeable, in fact I'm struggling to see the bike mate. In the second picture I can make out a couple of horrible blemishes, but I think they could easily be removed.
I know for a fact your wife is a midwife and the girls in your photo don’t have enough fingers to be local so must have been imported. So I Googled Grantham midwives I also looked up the legality of family member honour killings and it seems knocking over a blade constitutes good enough reason. All that apart, as I said in my text if you need any help fixing up the new bike I am not a million miles away and always willing to help if I can.:
Nice bike, like above get some engine covers and new mirror from eBay.. How different is it from the rr5? (without putting the rr5 down too much ;-)
Ditto, gutted as well.... but i bet the girls helped a bit to ease the pain. As said covers, covers, covers... but i would still get it fixed and then put covers on, but i am OCD.
The curse of having a Repsol FireBlade and being on the 1000.rr.co.uk forum strikes again. (although sooner than expected) That is all!
