I think it's actually pretty low for having headwork done with the cams and full micron. I had 124 on my 2003 R6, also with full exhaust, head work, kent cams….. And got this figure off 3 different dyno's, so I know it was a true number..

Don't get me wrong it's still a good number for an R6, I just would have expect above 125 to be honest…. not that it matters cause BHP once on your ar$e doesn't mean much :D :D

You have hit the nail on the head there YT. Good on you. I think you will have the time of your life and have some awesome times, meet some amazing people and create some epic memories. Pretty much priceless. It would be awesome if we can get to do a race meet together next year.

I can't recommend Mark at MHP highly enough. He is cheap but his work is superb and he will get it sorted quickly for you too. I would suggest a Clubman silencer from him, as it is cheaper and does the job well, plus it can be rebuilt much easier than something fancy. I wouldn't go down the baffle route unless you absolutely have to, much better to get it sorted out properly.

In the past, I have just sent my system down to him and he knows exactly what to do with it. Just query that with him as that seems a bit odd.

Should only cost about £20 to send it to him and then sell the Micron end can to get some money back in. Keep an eye on motoforum also for spare levers (stick to standard), clip ons and bodywork. the more spares you have, the better.

MHP systems are superb. As i said, he made the exhausts for the Seton Tuning R6s which compete in the British Supersport championship, so obviously knows his stuff. He has done 2 systems for me and I can't fault the workmanship. It is very handy to have somebody like this who can make/repair a system for you.

They sound pretty good really. Better without the baffle, so if you can get it so it is 102db without then that is good. Don't worry too much about the sound, as you won't really notice it when you are out there and flat out.
One thing I would say, is put some money aside for an engine refresh. I am sure you said that this bike had titanium valves, so they are obviously aftermarket, as it wasn't until the 13S model that they were fitted as standard. They are good, but when they need replacing, they are about £80 per valve. That shouldn't need to be done for about 2-3 years though. Main thing, is change the oil and filter after every meeting. Use Motul 5100 oil in it, this seems to be what is recommended and both Mike and myself have used this all year with no worries. Stick to a standard Yamaha oil filter too.

Yeah rodger that mate. It needs throttle barell lubing up a bit. The quick action throttle is an 1/8th turn (eeeek!!!) Need to paint engine casings. Swap exhaust and map up. Try my WOWs on it. Probably other bits n bobs...

This is awesome matey! made up that you finally have got a bike.
With lockwiring it, I can take photos of where to secure the lock wire to, just makes it a little bit easier. Get numbers sorted too, they will need to be blue on a white background, which you can get from here:
Race Numbers / Backgrounds, A&R Racing Services
Get loads of the number you are going to ride as.

Just done my lock wire buddy drill a 2mm hole through the side of the sump plug angle drill so it comes out the head of the bolt from the side .

Big jubilee clip around filter and then lock wire to a bracket or summat close .

Oil filler cap either pro bolt or drill method again

Lock wire through the pivot hole of your Brembo master if you have one this isn't compulsory but should be in my option .
Hottrax require no other lock wiring
