Cheers for pics Barney again mate . Bad day for me today missed 3 sessions due to a problem with noise testing and my new Austin Racing exhaust noise level adjustable from (98-120db) (yeah fecking right)be on the phone to them Monday morning .. Out of the box they said 102db great I thought fine for trackdays bloody 108db. finally had to install a different db killer and fill the end with wadding problem then the bike was like riding a 125cc as no power due to all the wadding etc so passed noise testing and removed wadding etc bike was fine then Then my bike decided to start cutting out in exactly the same spot for 4 laps just going down hill top soon as stopped and restarted bike fine until I got back to the same spot weird one this . Think it has something to do with the location of the key to the hiss system as I have removed ignition or a faulty kill switch or the HMQS again playing up. So that's next week job there does seem to be something every week to fix or replace at the moment and it's doing me ed in.. Thought blades were reliable .
get youself a beemer cracking pics as ever barney, hopefgully you'll be there on the 19th to get a few of mine before it gets scratched/scuffed/smashed
Well I had a great day for a change although struggled a bit in the morning with visor misting up as did most people I think. There were some seriously quick lads there today having a shakedown before starting racing. Little bit unnerving when a pack of four or five mugged you from behind! Weather came good eventually and was nice to have support from numerous forum members who turned up. Thanks Barney for the amazing pics you took today!
Having had about 2 hours kip in the caravan last night, I was quite amazed that the day went so well. However, i am kind of fecked now though. It was great to catch up with the guys, just gutted for Jase who seemed to have been hit by problems, but fingers crossed he will get it all sorted soon. As for me, the bike went superbly, I felt really comfortable out there and all in all it was a great day to get out and get some track time before the first race in 3 weeks time. Huge thanks again to Barney for turning up and getting some superb shots, top effort and fantastic results.
Best pics yet Barney!! Some of the pics, especially the 1's with background blow me away. Also these pics give the guys a great insight on they're body positions, which is invaluable.
A fantastic account of the day guys thanks. Jase, Hope you get your issues sorted soon, best you have these testers now rather than in a couple of weeks. Thefirebloke. Now there's a bloke enjoying his self. Cracking shots. Robin. Looking very comfortable out there. J Nice picture of a wheelie there, no disputing that one today. Barney. Awsome pictures as always mate. You really do capture the mood and those special moments of the day.
Brilliant Photo's Barney. Can I ask where there any "Road Bikes" on the track at all? They all look like track bikes.
You're right Scoob, no road bikes in our group! Only once did I see a numberplate in the fast group, a few years ago, and he was proper taking the mick! Fast as you like he was!
theres always a few,but majority are track bikes, even filtering down through inters now, novice tend to be more road biased though.ahh those were the days
Cheers Guys, took a mooch over to Oulton today just to have a look and I'll be on the next Novice group one of these days.
Just sat down with a coffee to peruse through these pics and what can i say ..... top draw ! Looked like you all had a great day. Fantastic shots, really enjoyed that, cheers Steve. Now need to go and re-heat my coffee.
