Too early to say as I've not used it on a long ride yet,and I used different earplugs and have the Sena 10u comms fitted in the neotec. It definitely seems to give a more airtight fit than the NXR. I'll try it tomorrow with no plugs or music to see how noisy it is.
I recently replaced my shark s900s with a HJC RPHA10 + main reason a slipped 2 discs in my neck 18 months ago and HJC 380g lighter which helps my neck loads. As for noise the shark was quieter than the HJC however worthwhile trade off for the Weight difference.
Can't recommend the schuberth c3 pro enough. Sure it's a bit pricey, but it's light, comfortable for miles and miles and super quiet. Don't let the flip top fool you into thinking it's anything like any other flip on the market. Having come from several arais with their bloody snap off side pods, don't think I'll ever consider any other lid.
I can also suffer from noisy helmet. In fact riding above 40~50mph witouh ear plugs can become physicall uncomfortable. You will just need to experiment your way through and find what works best. The fit makes a huge difference. I have read Arai design is more for a rounder shaped head from neutral while Shoei is slightly offset towars oval. The size is also important together with the shape, they can make the helmet unstable and increase buffetting. The other area which affects noise and buffetting is the opening around the neck where air flow gets in and causes (but also ventilation). Some Shoei models offer neck curtain (aka whisper kit) for this problem. I suggest you experiment with: Different ear plugs; I use EARsoft 37db since I took up riding in 2003 and they are perfect for me Block some of the air flow into the helmet: wearing a scarf around your neck, taping over vent holes I assume the size and fit are correct

After today's test, yes. But only just and if you keep the vents shut. It's a noisy bugger with the vents open, but then I was doing motorway+ speeds and didn't have plugs in. Shut the vents or wear plugs and it's quite comfortable.
I've got a quantum st pro, 8 months on and couldn't be happier with it. I find it slightly noisey but fully bearable , really comfy and love the pro visor even though I keep it in the up position most of the time it helps block out the high sun. Wear a neck tube with mine
