Aye up, another member arrives, Welcome along john. I think the drugs had begun to wear off? Phone call time. Barney phones to tell us he is now in possession of his new bike. Wahey! Phone then passed around the table to congratulate him. You know, I always thought Giv was taller. So a sumptuous breakfast and drinks have been consumed, now let's hit the shop.
Jon, appears to be in love? Has lee just found Jon's twin? only their mother could tell them apart? Si spots a new lid too? And Giv's going to clean the place up. (it doesn't do hard drives) Back to the helmet, and Lee is talking an interest too! The interest grows. Now Jon and Steve are in it Meanwhile in another part of the store, Garyb and Giv spot this, you just know what's coming don't you? You just knew it didn't you.
Nearly lost it here Reminds me of someone on the forum, but I can't put a name to him? Future modern minx perhaps. Moving on, we're now on gloves. Steve checks lees fingers. Or palm readings perhaps? Argh, my thumb. It's like, a thumb Remember the saga with the helmet? Well Si is trying the sizes out. Valentino Rossi helps him.
Right, that's the size I want please Lee! Are you having one? Ok, so we've vacated the clothing department. Now to go bike shopping as a group. I walked in on this. After dragging Si off the Burgman we continue. Another nice replica. Giv & Lee, well I don't think they are too sure? Remember the cruiser earlier in the post? Now Steve fancies his chances? Please, get off the hideous thing Excuse me. Would you consider a part exchange on a R1? Seriously. I'm only looking.
Ok, readers. We're coming to the end of the breakfast meet, now all we need to do is find out which member sported the biggest pair by actually riding their bike to the meet. Heres a clue. Need another? Perhaps this tie wrap will help? Don't you just love the cross weave. Perhaps this will help? It is of course our one and only Alblade. Here we are (sorry andrp27 you had other commitments.)
One quick check over, just to make sure. So there you have it. Our little meet up. In no particular order of appearance. Alblade Thefirebloke Lee711 Givover CBR 1 Si Andrp27 Honda 1 Oh and me Garyb Sorry, I've got a feeling I've missed one? Anyone? Andy i'm sorry, all the way through i cocked your forum name up FTR its not Andrp27 its And7rp2
That's a top write up and great photos so thanks for your efforts. And did you mention a Southwest run to meet the lads in Kens gang .Watch this space!
Bye everybody... Only joking. You girls look like you had a cracking coffee morning. How does Al' get balls that big across his tank. Nothing wrong with your white balance Al', snow just does that to auto settings. Auto Levels'll sort it. Gary? How long did it take you to open your individual condiment selection? Your bacon must have been cold before you got your sauce on it. Giv with his knee down! Are those NHS replacement knees covered by his insurance, and what was he up to giving executive relief to other forum members for chris'sake! You are always welcome on the peninsula, all of you. Just get your jabs, visas and guarentor's details up to date. We still use pounds, shillings and pence down here mind and you musn't wear your helmets in shops. Too many bad memories of the Roundheads around here.
That's a Razor sharp write up Gary - nice one. Tiny tip - re-size your pics on PC to 1024*768 BEFORE you upload them - makes them load almost instantly - I use WIndows 'Photosize' tool / plug in to do it.
Yep, that's the one I use. I keep them to 800 wide to cut down on the scrolling on mobile devices but I think Rob has done something to the site to cap them anyway.
Your were with us in spirit Barney thats the main thing, anyway, who in the right mind would swap picking their blade up for eating breakfast with us lol thanks guys, ill look into that
Ling just said to me what are looking at; I told her just a bunch of care in the community poor souls on a supervised outing in front of motrcycle. For a laugh I said, without telling her your names, pointing to the people I recognise what they do for a living, she is quite good at it and once again didn’t fail to disappoint: Giv? Answer: Not a lot but what he does do, he does it sat on his arse Simon? Answer: Hairdresser Gary? Answer: Mechanic I make that 3/3.
It's not vital Gary, it just speeds it up a bit, especially for us poor buggers in the sticks on BT narrowband. Edge to edge, an iPad screen displays about 1000 pixels in the web browser, so pictures wider than that go off the edge. Keeping them under that means the whole thing displays in one go. 800 is a nice, easy number to remember and works well. You can download Windows Image Resizer from the Microsoft website. When you right click on the file you want to resize it appears in the right click menu and gives you three size options. Pick one and it will make a copy of your file presized.
