Thanks guys. I'm home alone and severely tempted to go out for a quick blat now lol. Yeah hm quickshifter is going straight on after the service at 500-600 miles. I can't believe how smooth the gearbox is my 09 you felt like you had changed gear on this it's so smooth and carries the corner speed so well. The feedback from the front is amazing it's like the bike is telling me it's ok you've got plenty of grip you can tip in more lol. Totally blown away by it and I've not experienced full power on it yet best get some spare boxers I suppose lol...

Well it might not be the fairy tale ending just yet already hit a snag with it this morning she would not go into 6th gear and kept giving me false neutrals. Will try it again on my way home tonight but writing an e-mail to the dealer now. 80 miles in and it was all going so well....

Nick i hear you buddy and have been having the exact same issues as seen here, http://1000rr.co.uk/general-1000rr-discussion/16520.htm

After speaking to many people including Arthur ive come to the conclusion that its me and not the bike. Ive played around with the gear shift peg to raise it a tad which works well most of the time. Ive always been used to gently tapping up through the gears but now give it a hard kick which works. The only time now that i have problems is if ive given it a very gentle tap and it doesn't want to go up but not all the time. Rode yesterday all day and only once did it not go to the selected gear because i feathered the gear peg with my foot... I did notice though on the motorway returning home that on one occasion when i went from 5th to 6th that 5th was still showing on the gear indicator and i thought fook ive not been hard enough, then all of a sudden 6th shows, guess the ecu was confused:confused:

I would play with the gear peg to start with mate.......

Thanks buddy much appreciated I did wonder if it was me as my mate Dave told me this morning that he had false neutrals for a year with his S1kRR when he first got it as apparently the ECU and gearbox are learning and adjusting settings accordingly. I suppose I paniced a bit as I didn't think the SP would have that wizardary on it but apparently it does according to Honda.

Looking at what you say though you're right I am probably too light with it as my 09 used to need a good kick to get through the gears until I had my HM fitted and the SP gearbox feels effortless when going through the gears so I thought I would lighten up my kicking through the gears but will try it again tonight to make sure and see if it happens again.

In any case the dealer told me to wait until first service and they would check it then. Always had the GI problem with my Daytona funny enough used to happen to me on track it would show 4th when I was in 3rd so me thinking it was 4th would bang it down a cog to get 3rd then it would suddenly display 2nd. Was happening to me all day at Brands got so peeved that by the 3rd session I just started counting my head.

Hehe on lates this week buddy so blasting through around 8ish. Fixed the 6th gear issue was me being too gentle with her she likes it rough. Was a bit naughty this morning took her to 8k RPM as some bell in a BMW thought he could race me and I wasn't going to have that running in or not. The sound is just amazing and the performance my god it just pulls like a freight train.
