! Do the judges actualy live in the real world?[/QUOTE] No, the trouble with this f**kin country is that we are too p.c. We will look after the minorities, heaven forbid the twat has to spend xmas inside , it wouldn`t be fair. Fuck the little shit.
Oh the thought did cross my mind when it happened, however this was prob more down to the crate of beer and 3/4 bottle of vodka I had tipped down my neck by force earlier that evening!
Hope hes on the mend soon Martin might be wise to check this site out Compensation for victims of violent crime
Well finally today the scum bag that done this has gone to prison however not for long enough IMO Considering he has 19 previous convictions of extreme violence he got 3 1/2 years which was then reduced to 2 years 4 months for pleading guilty and then reduced because he has been on tag for a while! Then what really takes the piss is it will be further reduced because the poor bloke was very depressed after his last prison visit!!! Don't worry about my brother who had a massive chunk bitten out of his cheek 3 lots of plastic surgery and still a massive scar on his face! Don't worry he's not depressed. What a piss take
You sure its not an IPP he's been sentenced to??? Anyone already convicted of one or more violent attacks SHOULD be given an IPP........
Indeterminate Sentence for Public Protection, most will get something like an 18 month IPP however, they remain on the IPP for 99 years and are only released from prison when it is deemed they are fit. Someone with an 18 month IPP would expect to spend at least 5 years in prison just to complete set courses......
Nope not on IPP then unfortunately but should be, we also got threatened by his family after he went down. They are a really nice bunch
Don't want to put a further damper on things but as the shite is a short term prisoner(less than 4 years)he will only spend half his sentence behind bars, the remainder being spent on licence in the community. The law in this country is a fucking joke
The criminal justice system as a whole is simply a forum for getting the best deal on both sides. The CPS will not give the go ahead to charge unless the case is virtually watertight, again due to budget constraints and a tick box attitude which says a case found not guilt is a black mark on the case officer who gave it the go ahead. If an offender lands in the dock, anybody who knows anything about the system can be sure that he/she has ticked a lot of boxes ! The whole system is slanted in favour of the offender, so the cherry on the cake is the fact that they only serve half their sentence (should they be found guilty anyway) and then (for a lot of them) prison is simply a 2nd home !
