Yes, I won't be booking it either, I'll just rock up if it's looking a dry(ish) day.

I'm getting to know what a Junkie feels like know when they don't get their fix!
Not sure how I'll cope over the Winter period?

Might av to Track the Wifes Merc if things get too bad! :p

You'd have a lot more to sort that's for sure Jase. :)
TBH the forecast keeps changing, could get a few dry laps? Maybe not?
I've since txt Chris about the wheels. See what turns up.
Tyre guys may well have a used set they could throw on for me?
Lol I know they had a bit of a rush on them last time, but all the same, worth considering on the day ;)

Can we have a head count of forum dudes turning up either to have a doo or just having a general natter. I may pop over if there are a few gathering and maybe have a brew out of the rain " what time"?

Getting a new rear wet tyre put on tommorow which i needed anyway to take with me for Jerez trip(hopefully wont need it there) then will see what forecast is my met office at moment is saying heavy rain till 1pm then light rain so a wet and slippy track that wont dry.:( if it stays like this dont think i will bother.

No wets mate as yet, Chris got back to me and he's sold the front wheel, so a bit half way, just read an email this minute from a salvage company in Stafford they have wheels and they have given me a price, including disc sprocket carrier etc, as said ill be going anyway, its my day, so even if I only get my couple of sighting laps in the morning and the one in the afternoon, at least i'd have had the bike off the trailer, must get this wet thing sorted, because once I've got them, sods law says it will be dry there after

TBH Gary I had one of my best day's on Wets at Darley Moor when it rained all day, non stop.

I was a bit dubious at first but an ex Proddy racer was there that day on an 11 year old R1 with exactly the same Dunlop wets I had on.

It was my first time using full wets and I was riding around like a Pussey along with another Guy on a 916, there was only 15 of us in total so it was an open Pit Lane day in the end.

Anyways this Guy took me and Ducati boy under his wing and made us follow him around.
He then proceeded to do a few flying laps getting his knee down virtually everywhere!

It certainly gave us both the confidence to pick up the pace massively knowing first hand how sticky full wets are even when it's Pissing it down.

I learnt a lot that day I can tell ya! [IMG]

But is there a situation where the track can't cope with the amount of " overflow " and guys are soaked through and just hanging around .....Just a thought!

The track can get rid of the " overflow " when raining pretty damn fine Giv, it's the man dribble from over excited dudes it struggles with ;)

The being soaked was what stopped me in the end.
Packed it in at around 2:30-3:00 as I had to strip naked in the van to towel off and change in to dry clothes!

I bought this the next day from J&S to use over the Leathers if this happens again.

    DVS1 Driviz Oversuit - Oversuits/Rainwear - Clothing

Cheap as Chips, has an integral belt to minimise flapping and they'll see me coming!

Making the executive decission and spewing this off.
Jason is in the same frame of mind, I'll put my diesel and petrol money saved to some new tyre warmers ready for next season.
Currently searching now for some wheels to add to it. Got a few months to get sorted so no dramas.
The risk far outweighs the reward Without the propper tools for the job, just pissing in the wind IMO.
As much as I'm rather gutted to miss any bike time I think I'm calling this right.

Now if anytime wants a track day tomorrow? Go to Oulton park. It's bound to be sunny now ;)

Just down the road from Oulton Gary and it's nice and Sunny outside at the mo!

I'm sure it won't stay that way for tomorrow so you've probably made the right decision.

Turn up at 10:30 ish and go and see the No limits Guy and say you want to do the afternoon sesh only.

He just say's yeah no myther go and see the Girls and get ya bands etc and it'll be £35-45

Then just get straight on Track!
My mate got 5 sessions in for £45 last time out where as we all paid £90 for 7 sessions! ;)
