First thing i done to mine makes it feel a load nicer mate coming out the twisty bits take it easy in the damp I have HRC throttle aswell makes for a intersting first few laps in the wet/damp
Weather up date now in Cheshire ...lovely blue sky's sunny and a nice warm breeze .looks like for the moment they got it wrong again!
I called this one right today arrived about 10.45 am went out 2 sessions on wets but track was drying nicely just put rear dry on and as GIV said bloody nice now with blue sky. Result as well they are only running 2 groups so out every 20 mins so more track time . Not sure on the 15t front spocket as loosing top end speed which you do notice at oulton park as quite a few fast straights, front end comes up a lot easier though . Will see how I can get on after lunch with it now track is drying and I can get on the gas a lot quicker . Sorry Gaz for now they got it wrong .
Pisser wasn't it mate, not sure where but it razed it down here at 2pm, win some lose some I guess, and the lesson to learn is follow your heart, not your head, and certainly not trusting weather forecasts again! But, all that said, had quite a productive day so not all lost
Good day considering I didn't get there till 11am I left about 3.30pm just as the heavens opened . Had 2 great sessions on dry tyres and 2 good on wets as it wasn't raining just wet track so for the time of the year and what was forecast I can't complain . I did say this was my last trackday this year in the uk but could be tempted next Friday at oulton but will wait and see what forecast is.
stick with the gearing jase, you'll find it a lot a better once you get used to the flighty front. what you got on the rear?
up another at least to 43 or even 44. theres no way your topping out on 15/42,even down island. i did run 15 47 for a lot of the time last yr,which is very flighty, but gives awesome drive out of the corners, but you do need to short shift a lot going up over hill top,and clay hill. changed to 15 44 and found this to be a good compromise, but just need to make sure you keep the revs up. tbh for most tracks you wont need to venture much away from 15/43/44. only tracks i would say are valencia and portimao.putting a 16 on the front is a better for there as they have very fast long straights, which you come onto quite quickly aswell so i find i'm topping out with 15/44.
I wasn't topping out just noticed the difference at higher speeds but I do like the front end action that the smaller front gives . Would you say 15/43/44 would be good for Jerez as that looks a fast track .
