Earlier in the thread I asked if the O2 Eliminator needed fitting if running a "Zero Map" on the PCV, (which basically means the PCV does not adjust the fuelling from stock). Arthur sent me the following reply to a PM I sent him and thought it would be good info or others asking the same question. Arthur's Reply : In short to map (no matter if zero, download or custom) a blade you need to run the 02 eliminator or the PCV will not have full control of the rev range, i.e the "closed loop" or emissions zone 1500-3750ish RPM. Without it fitted the bike will 1) look to the Lambda for a reading and trim the AFR to meet Euro3 laws in the closed loop zone, or 2) show and FI code on the dash to show the Lambda is missing or not connected, the O2 eliminator is nothing more than a 330ohm resistor fitted across the heater wires of the sensor, you can buy a 100 for £1.00!! Most people assume the resistor sends the value to the ECU, they are wrong, removing it just takes it out of the equation, feel free to add this to your thread.
