Has anyone ever tried doing this at nearly 90 mph?? Lads got talent if you ask me! Seriously though...... We all speed, and if you get caught doing so, you have to pay the price. Covering your plate in this way is an act of desperation or.... Something this guy does regularly. Definitely not something I would do!
great skills paulo I would not fancy doing it and reacting that quick and mr T.C are you saying you have only sped legitimately
No, I am not saying that. Like I said, show me someone who says that they have never broken the speed limit and I will show you a liar. I am no different, in fact I got caught at a serious 3 figure speed on the Motorway once and after I had retired but as the saying goes it is not what you know sometimes, but who you know, and the crew that stopped me were a crew I trained, on top of which I did have it bang on 30 once I came off the Motorway.. I honestly thought my licence was going to get shredded and I would have had no defence or mitigation. I was lucky and as the saying goes, but for the grace of god there go I. But I was lucky that for over 25 years I could and did exceed the speed limits legitimately
Agree with Paulo here and, not meaning to be a dick or offend, just because you were a copper and the crew that stopped you were trained by you should not give you a pass. Incidents like this do nothing to the failing credibility of our police forces.
Exactly my point......they wouldn't have known it was him until he removed his helmet. But at that point he'd done enough to get nicked!!!! Very disappointing
I just wrote out a detailed response, but then thought, bollocks, I am just wasting my time. You lot can believe what you like. I gave my honest response in reply to the tosser who thought he was being funny when suggesting that I have never sped on my own bike or in my car. All I will say is that I have never used my previous experience or position to get off anything other than when stopped for undertaking on a Motorway, and after 43 years I still have a clean licence and never been convicted of any offence. Don't like that answer? Tough!
I did offer no offence, but you seem to have taken it. Of course if offered a choice of fine/ban/points or none EVERYONE would accept to be let off. The point is you qualified it by saying it's not what you know it's who you know (or words to that effect)....and that the crew that pulled you were trained by you; the insinuation is of back handers/secret handshakes and the old boys club.....corruption by any other name! It is amusing just how quickly the tone has changed, which to me speaks volumes.
I think I might of just been called a posh wan### And of course you have got a clean licence You keep getting let off
