Hang your camera bag off it ;)
Use an adjustable straps so it just skims the floor as that stops it swinging in the wind.

I have an issue loading pictures onto my computer. I have a Canon Eos 350d which is quite old but still a great camera. I,ve been consistently uploading pics with no problems until I bought a new computer. I had the original software loaded onto my old computer but when I used the new one it was without the Canon software. Just plug the camera in using a usb link and all the pics were loaded. Until now.......it just refused to load them saying it no longer recognised the hardware.
Next job was to load original Canon software onto new computer........still no joy. Went on Canon's website and downloaded their latest drivers and still it isn't recognised. Tried different usb ports, can't load from memory card as it's to big for computer's cardreaders.
Been on the net and asked the question and it seems it's quite a common problem hence me trying the updated drivers. Don't know what else to do.........

I've seen problems where plugging a 1D into a new computer before you've installed the software can cause a similar issue. Try uninstalling the WIA driver and removing any evidence of the camera in devices then re-install, then plug the camera in.

Don't use that link for the software though mate, that's for the 1D. I just put it there to show where to go.

Yes mate. Treat it like it's all brand new. You may need to update the drivers for your new operating system. The important thing is that all traces of the camera are removed from the computer first. Then when you plug it in the OS should say "oh yeah, I've just seen some drivers for one of those." Otherwise it'll say "oh, he's plugged one of these in before. I didn't know what it was then, so I won't know what it is now".

Steve, have you got a memory card reader on the pc? if not, get one and put the mem card from the camera into it.
Drag and drop then onto your pc mate.My current Apple OS doesn`t recognise my camera either so had to buy one

There's a card reader on the pc but the card is too big for it. Looks like I'll have to go down that route and buy one, but it pees me off that it worked then suddenly stopped :(

    Also , i found this:

"Canon EOS 350d don't need driver for windows 7. Believe it or not. You have to change the communication parameter from "PC" to "print/PTP"

It looks as though it's in the cameras USB mode dude?

Have a look at the settings in the cam Steve.
