I'd be up for that Steve. I'll need to get the finger out and decide which days I can do next year, but Donny and Oulton are top of the list.
Ha ha! Thanks steve, it was a true death or glory couple of last laps with a throw of the "what's the worst that could happen" ha ha.... Could of been a lot worse though. And like you say, sometimes, you just need to try harder Oulton seems to me the obvious central meeting point for some play time for all.
Both class col, and offer different things IMO : 1) oulton - is a riders track and very technical. Fooking hard to go sub 1.50 2) donny - i know youve been - but a pure spectical imo with craner prob best set of corners (curves) I've ridden. Mix em together and you get brands gp.
As we speak, my blades engine is out, being ported and re-profiled cams. Hoping to go a little faster next year as I'm expecting around 20bhp improvement!
20bhp would be bloody handy mate.... I must admit you did notice the difference between ours at silverstone, when it really opened up.
Only problem I have with doing trackdays next year is that I'll find less time to ride on the road which I know I'll miss. I'll just need to try and balance it. 1 good thing to look forward to is the thought of moving back down the road again where I can be in the borders roads within 25 minutes. (Not that there are any good roads down there though, Erm )
You'll be surprised, other than the tour, and a handful of ride outs, that's all I done, and didn't miss it at all... TD's just add another dimension. Certainly not less bike time
Have to say I love my road riding but did roughly 2 trackdays a month and only got out on the road about 8 times. Just not the same kick I'm afraid!
Thing is I reckon I only managed around 500 road miles last year apart from the tour. Though I did feel that I missed out a good bit, as the roads up here ain't as good, which is probably why I didn't try to get out more.
Only problem I have Steve is that I'm an all or nothing guy, and I know I'd regret it if I gave up road riding. If I can keep it to a maximum of 4 trackdays a year then I wouldn't have to take it too seriously and use it more of a social meet.
All or nothing guy hey??? Your doomed bro told ya a while back you'll get hooked. And you watch.... That's the thing with td's you get to scare yourself, not get nicked, have a laugh with the boys, then a few beers. All in 24'hrs lol
That's what I'm afraid of Steve. I know what I'm like. If I can manage more time to do both then that would be my ideal with only the occasional Sunday blast and the rest trackdays and a good tour.
Hey Andy, kettle's always on for you mate. Liam's doing it for me along with his cbr6. Looking around £800 there or thereabouts.
