The thing that annoyed me the most is that the screws for the reg light are plain steel, and when I went to take it off to use for the bracket I'm making they were seized. I had to order a new light and even at that I'll b replacing the screws for stainless.
Hi Ray I got the map switch from CMC chesterfield. It's the actual map switch dynojet advertise. I mounted it on the left handlebar next to the clutch clamp. I'll get the pics up of the fitting at the weekend if I get some time.
The fitting is different on your bike though. I think u need the hub to fit the map switch to the pc3.
Sorry was just looking at ur avitar pic. It's not quite a plug n play like ud hope. But simple enough. You just have to put the wires into the rear of the unit. I'll post up the pics so u can see what I'm talking about. I'm not that good at describing things
I read through the instructions that came with the PCV, and from what I can gather, you need to strip the cable back & then feed them both into the PCV box? If that makes sense...
Exactly that mate. It come with a small 3 prong plug attached to the end that u cut off, strip back the wires, and feed into the back. I soldered the wires for a better connection.
I wanted a very clean look to my tail as well so I got tail light with integrated indicators and then fabricated a plate out of ally to go into the coffin shape recess and a s All l bracket bolted to that for the. Umber plate
Any issues with mot for integrated indicators in the light? I was led to understand that the minimum distance was 240mm for a pass? I'm in the middle of fabricating my self a tailtidy because I can't find any decent ones to buy? And if I can get away with less than 240mm all the better.
Answered my own question, here. I asked at my local dealer/mot station, and they said as long as their is a distinct flashing side to the indicator and doesnt merge into the wrong side of the light. it should pass no problems.
The law on rear signals is as said 240mm apart but as I always say just coz it passes an MOT does not mean its legal for use on the road. Strange but true.. :S In other words its up to plod..
Yeah had a bloke on another forum, who had been pulled by the old bill who judged his bike as being unsafe, even though it had passed a MOT in the same month. He wasn't best chuffed about it.
Sweet Col .. Is it loaded up with 2 maps now ? I need to get this sorted asap so that i can load up 2 maps and compare them . Mogsy emailed me his custom map for the same bike, same exhaust and same filter and my bike is running better than ever with it on idol so i want to compare the 2 on the road
I've not had the bike on the dyno to get the maps done yet. I'm going to wait till I get the exhaust, that way I can get it tuned for baffle in or baffle out. I'm going to get the bike tuned for more midrange as I don't really need anymore up top
Aye aye lol.. i think on the Dyno jet CD there is a zero map which makes no change and the 1 to run on a standard bike and I'm pretty sure there is a stock exhaust + aftermarket filter map ? Could be a good test for the witch mate ?
The bike will be off the road now till the spring now mate. By that time I'll have the exhaust fitted anyway. That's the salt on the roads up here already
