I had the seat re-worked as I wanted something different and a bit of comfort for the longer journeys. I am not sure about the looks, it is also higher than the original and puts a bit more weight on my wrists at low speed. It was hand sewn and has a gel pad. Fitted Watsen Design flush indicators which I really like, unfortunately, they are not making any more for Blades. Ijust had to buy the Rizoma fuel cap, stupidly expensive for what it is, but my bike is worth it.

TBH i didn't think the seat looked that bad, bearing in mind that nobody would see it when you're sat on it. Its a bit like luggage, you can always switch back to a standard seat for short journeys and stick the padded one back on for the long ones.

Failing that, you will likely get some money back if you sell it anyway when its time to sell the bike by selling the seat separately (in fact i'd consider it for the Scotland trip).

I took the bike out for a ride to test out the seat yesterday. It is very comfortable and gives a more 'over the bars' riding position which at speed does not put much weight on the wrists. As for the looks, I think the original looks much better. So for short journeys it is the original and the long ones the padded on ! Does that mean I should carry the seats in a ruck sack and change them over when I get off the bike LOL

Got my new blade home yesterday clocking up around 100 miles and so far very impressed with it after owning an R1 & 10R of a simular age. The quality of parts & paint are superior to the previous. Hasn't got the bonkers attitude of the 10R but a more all rounded bike. The Arrow race can has a lovely bark, so all in all very pleased to have got this bike.

I got some from Canada that have the logo embroidered on for £13.50 delivered, much better than the heat press ones on there and only about £1.50 more.

Mmmm Ash, what year is that, you have me thinking. Would those mirrors type with the indicators fit my 04 Blade?
