Hey Colonel, great vid. have you got standard suspension on the bike and has it been set up ? also did you manage the four days on one set of tyres ? Cheers
No it's got Ohlins rear and K-tech internals in the front. It was like that when I bought it. Yeah I had it setup by MCT. I'm not one for tinkering with suspension from track to track but that's only because I don't know what I'm doing lol. She handles well enough for me, I'm sure it could be better but it's not a skill I've learnt yet. Cartagena is quite an abrasive circuit which makes for great grip but is hard on tyres. I killed 2 new Metzler K2 rear slicks and put a dent in another over the 4 days but I did go out in other groups other than Fast/ACU as I was instructing and doing sighting laps. So unless you are pushing on a couple of good scrubs to get you through day 1 and 2 and then a new tyre for once you've learnt the circuit should do the trick. I took off what was a new K2 front after day 3 and put on a fresh one but that was only because I had another and didn't want to risk losing the front by being tight fisted. It still has another couple of trackdays in it though.
Here is a pic of my recently purchased rr5. Will take some more next time I have a ride and remember to take some.

He has had it since new and it's mint but he can't be bothered to repair it at the moment as he has another car. I keep thinking of buying it off him and doing the work myself.
I love my bike 7700 miles on the clock at the moment, but should by over 10k miles by the end of the year
That's Nice James, Mine was all shiny while at Arthur's Workshop a couple of weeks ago, but a Diesel spill at the weekend has now put paid to that, but all stripped down and new bits on order so should be back on it soon, and only bruises here
Shit that's not good! Glad your ok. Much damage to the bike? That's a bit of a trek to Arthur's for you.
Bloody hell Simon. You're like me, you spend all that time on track and it's on the road where you get caught out. Hope you're ok mate.
yeah James a bit of trek but no real problem as Daughter lives in Fareham (near Portsmouth) so just slung the bike on the trailer on our next visit to hers Plus Arthur does a great job and very reasonable price too top guy Bike not too bad, needs new: upper side fairing panel rear cowl right side foot rest front indicator crash bobbin throttle grip bar end right mirror bars seem ok but will take off and check, would hate them to break off at full chat on track and thanks Guys I'm totally ok, just some big bruises, but wife's a nurse so well looked after lol and yes Gary, ironic isn't it lol bloody Diesel
