I’ve been looking for one for a little while, does it fit ok? Have a dark smoke Chinese think on my hrc RR7 at the moment and I’m not a fan. Do you have a link to where you got it from?
Still shite weather, but I'm only here once... Headed down to Castletown and round the Southern 100 circuit.
I'm back home now, but I managed to pay a visit to Murrays Motorcycle museum. £5 very well spent. Stopped off for lunch at the cafe by the Calf of Man. Also managed to squeeze in a final lap of the TT course. A completely different experience in the dry.
Hi S5M. Early Sundays are the best time provided we wake and set off before the plague of insects start hovering above the 'A' roads. Great shot of your bike. I don't think I've seen it 'close up' before. Looks friggin' brilliant and MUCH better than my tri-colour. I'm assuming it's a special paint scheme - especially because of the black fade-out on the lower front fairing? The black tailpiece is much better also; doesn't allow the pillion seat to stand out like the proverbial DBs. (Incidentally, my black seat cowl I bought from a forum member is in the paint shop. To do the pearl/mettalic white requires 80 quid of paint - before labour is included. I thought I was being shafted but the shop came as a recommendation. I could have bought an ebay spray can I suppose, but like you, we sometimes have to pay the price of perfection.)
It's a standard paint scheme Nigel, what looks black is actually a very dark metallic blue, looks really good in the sunlight. The seat cowl you bought off gcon45 is the same as mine , in fact its the same model bike as mine . £80 does seem high but to buy one the wright colour could cost £200 plus , hard to find as we all know . Replaced mine with the rear seat for a bit of a change . Will post a close up pic for ya
Thanks. And now my memory is refreshed, I have just seen gcon's pic in this thread. Don't know how I missed it before, because I would have made the same comment. It's a great scheme and my naivety is due solely to my extended hiatus from the bike scene. Perhaps that's why I keep collecting them to make up for lost time. (I'll be on the TV show 'Hoarders' with a lounge room full of bikes)
Wanted to do an evening track day today as I knew some people who were going, but it was full. So I rode there on my road bike and took pictures instead.
