This may be too late in which case I apologise but there is a set of white rims on eBay, full set with discs for £699. You can just flog yours then for similar money or keep as a spare set for when you fancy a change? Sorry cant post link as on the phone but just search on cbr1000rr wheels and they'll come up. Oh yeah, they have red rim tape already fitted and is open to offers too!
Thanks for the tip off but it's a lot of money to fork out at the moment compared to just getting my wheels done
Wheels out this morning, discs off, seals out just need a longer bar to knock bearings out, then tyres off and good to go!
Picked my wheels up friday night had them powder coated black .Had to take seals and bearings out but the place as taken tyres off and put back on £80 the pair thats in Winsford cheshire .a place in shavington want £120 but you have to get tyres taken off the place called alloy tech where mine were done great job alot better then paint any day
Good stuff. i'm keen to hear how this progresses and your experience. i have a set of 2012 rims and i'm so very tempted to get them powdercoated or painted white, just think they'll look awesome and bring the wheels alive. from the reading i just cant decide if powdercoating or painting is the best option for me. why did you decide to go down the PC route?
When painted they look like orange peel affect with powder coating they are smooth and easy to clean last alot longer two i work at a body shop but still go down the powder aoating route new bearings toyo off ebay £28 posted front and back
I've been quoted 90 to get the wheels done, getting new tyres fitted afterwards so local tyre place won't charge me to take tyres off as going back there to get new ones fitted, do you have s link for the bearings? Are these for 2010 model?

All done, new bearings and seals, disc bolts went in fine. No re tapping required, they did a really good job of masking everything up, and they look great, just ready for new tyres now!
Yep, they look lovely. Think they'll set the bike of just great. Is there any risk of a wayward tyre fitter chipping the coating off or is Powder coating more resistent to that?
