I do like a decent plate, not the carp, people start altering to make them look even more carp! The right ones can be and are definitely good investments too.

Just sold one of mine (a 4 digit pate) at a £5500 profit, having owned it for 8 years!

Had a 2007 330d conv biggest pile of shit I've ever had the joy to own.

2 cracked wheels common fault on the 19" m sport wheels

Floorwell & Boot always full of water until I drill a hole or two

Footwell module due to water ingress, which controls the indicators £900 plus BMW in there wisdom without asking feel obliged to give you the latest spec software, which blew the Bluetooth telecom module add another £600 to the bill which we had to pay, because BMW gave us a 2007 car with a 2013 spec software update FOC and any update issue is down to the customer.. 3 rear led lights at £225 each. one was 10 days past its 12 month warranty.

Battery cable full length of car again water ingress dealer wanted £600 to replace instead of clean terminals which cured it.

Engine ecu kept going live and flat battery every morning, took it to a independent as well who also couldn't figure out why, after several visits. They offered to buy it for his Mrs at a giveaway offer. Took it elsewhere, turns out there were so many fault codes that were never cleared the ecu would remain live, common fault if fault code are not cleared. Yet independent didn't know this...or did he wanker.

Then to top it off the roof kept locking halfway, got round it by switching off and leaving for a while turned out to be the rear headrest sensor which automatically fire the head rest up if your about to turn the car over via a accident of some description which was a absolute **** to do, whole roof mechanism off according to dealer, or hack it a bit took 1/2 hour:rolleyes:

Would I have a BMW again, had a M5 after the Conv, then a Granny X1 now just picked up a X3Msport 3.0d with 400 miles on it for £17k under list price,

All of which not a single issue with any.. imho best drivers car out there for the money..
