so I've got some more parts lock set clocks throttle bodies that need dam good clean switch gear front wheel calipers so it's starting to look more like a stripped down bike and less of a ravaged mess.
bit manky but a clean and some braided lines and she should stop. back already has a hel line on it which is nice
fresh battery and filters of course. didnt realise starter motor was missing when I got it so I've bought a used one too
well apart from some missing bolts and changing brake pads ect I think only real big stuff I need now is a seat and the plastics headlamp and time . I need it running asap really want to do some runs on it to test out before the big charity run .
Nowt wrong with them callipers, in fact, I’d suggest adding more oil so the pads glide smoothly over the braking disc surface.
yeah I wasent best impressed that the box looked to be dripping in 10/40 a little visit to the parts cleaner will sort them
calipers soaking in a bowl of degreaser pistons won't budge so I'm hoping a good soak and clean and I can remove them and freshen up calipers. battery box and battery fitted today along with new spark plugs and coil pack fitted I'm also starting to try and work out loom routing . need to tap out a snapped exhaust header bolt but I'm on with that tomorrow .
right calipers are a right state . after a night in soak I still could not turn the pistons so into the jizer and I've got a load of crud off . Ill use the compressor to fire them out and decide if I can polish them up or not . I then got onto the throttle bodies. looked like they had been sat in a lake but I reckon serviceable now at least .
ordered a fuel tap too so once I've sorted loom positioning and thrown together we may get near fire up time.
