10w40 Silkolene Semi Synth 1400 miles not a drop missing. 10w30 Castrol 4T Semi Synth 1200 miles not a drop missing .. Don't put fully synth in these bikes!
Well, I'm pleased I've just read that. Got my oil today and they gave me 10/40 fully synthetic MA2. Usually 10/30 semi. Did give me a bit of concern at the time.
I use 10/30 fully actually. Looking fwd to tryin the silky stuff to see if it's any better gear change cause mine is rubbish
The answer is in there. Honda spec semi only for a reason. Because its now expensive and they use it in track bikes doesn't make it better in a bike that might get constant speed use for prolonged periods test I've seen show bearing crazing and other hardened surface breakdown with fully synth oils. From the horses mouth effectively. I have no oil loss using 1040 semi silk and the gear change is still like silk
Hang on...unless that's your track bike blade we are taking about ? Lol Still though I asked and Honda still spec semi for all uses.
Ok I have got a price for the oil but who to use for postage?? seem to be getting told around £8-£12 just to post!!!...... any ideas?
Ok I can get the 10W40 Comp 4 for £24 each inc, but postage is an issue, so I guess if you wanted to collect?? its cheap most people want £10-£15 just to post???
