Richer Sounds do a free 5 yr warranty, just have to join their VIP club.

Asked in Currys if they price match and same warranty as Richer Sounds, he said they can't price match them !!!

Most broadcasters don't even broadcast out in 1080p never mind 4k!

hd channels shown on sky/VM are broadcast in 1080i and the settop box upscale the signal to desired full hd 1080p.

Quite the opposite as most 4k tv's will upscale your standard picture to near 2+k! Just because programs aren't streamed doesn't mean you won't benefit, 60% of most tv programs still aren't broadcast in hd but most tv's upscale to hd

The same as 3d how many channels are broadcast in 3d none but doesn't stop you watching films and having a 3d tv

Netflix & Amazon Prime already have a 4K streaming service and most 4k TV's already have an App built in. The Panasonic also has a free 4K VOD App, but it's mainly for demo content.
Fortunately as 4K is basically anything that is 8 mega pixels then all your photos will be seen in 4k on the TV and any GoPro videos shot in 4k, plus an abundance of other 4k camcorders. Panasonic even have a free Android/iOS App that allows you to throw content from your mobile/tablet also in 4k, but we won't see a 4k BluRay player until the end of this year, although any decent player will have a 4k upscaler built in just like the TVs already have.

Upscaling is just the tv guessing where a pixel should be and not the same as full 4k streaming, but I agree if you need a New tv then you need to get a 4k, however I don't feel the need to "upgrade" to 4k yet, until far more "proper" 4k broad casting is here :)

But each to his own, after all I still don't feel the need to upgrade my 10 year old blade lol ;)

    Came across this..

Should a 4k TV still be priority when making a decision?
