Lol, yeah agree... Also keeps a bread crumb log of where you've been, logs speeds too...no use in court as not calibrated but interesting to see... You can view locations live on your mobile or the net... Also has a VHF transmitter for plod to locate...if they have the receiver that is....some don't! Jesus I can waffle on...lol
An R6 needs a lot more gear changes than a 1000. It's just the big bikes on which I feel it's not really needed for road use
99% off the ones we fit to bikes here at the factory are to 1000's. All manufactures too. Plenty are road bikes too!!
for track use q/s are very usefull if your chasing those tenths of seconds (or your m8 ) but for the road? theres loads of other things to spend your money on.not sure how people can say it feels like a new bike, try learning how to change gear properly instead of masking the problem. saying that,i do have a stand alone(no powercommander etc needed to use it) translogic intellishift for sale if anyones interested.
you talking about those Ducati riders again mate :-}} everyone should buy a 2 stroke mx bike if you can ride one of those quick you can ride anything with two wheels
Can someone quote a cost for the HM QS + fitting? Curious how much so I can start beating the wallet into submission
HM racing charged me £485 but they did say £50 of that was labour and usually they don't charge fitting but they said my bike was one of the worst to fit a QS to. so thay had to charge me an hors labour. Still i didn't think this was to bad, with regards to if i could ride i wouldn't need a QS thats funny lol
I think I know the answer but can I ask what would happen to the warranty on my nice shiny 2012 Fireblade if I had one of these fitted? The YouTube videos are good and I can see the obvious advantages of a qs but not at the cost of killing the warranty.
For a moment I though he was saying we don't know how to change gear with out one....lol Always welcome to join me on my MX track and we will see who can't change gear with out a shifter....!
Warranty will be fine apart from the stuff that's be changed or altered from standard as it's obviously no longer Honda.
Gearbox isn't being touched so that will be OK and only where you make the connection for the QS will be affected so not a lot. However, if your gearbox blows-up Honda could 'blame' the QS so for anything major (which won't happen) remove it but under all other circumstances don't worry.
