b&q do sheets of nice gold & silver ally mesh, nice fine mesh that can be cut with scissors and folds easy.
its about £15 for a sheet the size of 2 A4 pieces of paper end to end.
(enough to do rad and oil cooler)
like this - in a couple of different mesh styles and colours.

mate put some one his (too late lol) after repairing the rad he holed.
very lucky he didnt bin tbh as coolant was spraying all over the front tyre and rh disc.

on closer inspection there were half a dozen small chippings embeded in the rad - one had gone right through, probably flung up off the wheel?
on my storm, the oil filter is right in the line of fire off the wheel so i cut down a stuby heineken can and pop it over the filter body.
if that gets holed your fuxd innit :/ just a thought...

Look at the Beowulf item, fits both non and ABS bikes, does not need fiddly tie wraps and does not block too much airflow. Fitted in less than 10 mins.

Thanks for the heads up on that one. I,ve seen Beowulf seem to be the most reasonably priced as well!
