    I'll never forget this shot.

It was just after Longshanks kissed me good night and rode off into the night. His Sockdal surlpuses flapping in his slipstream,,,

Aaaaaaaaaah! Nice! That's seriously fine, Ken. Do you remember what time that was and what length exposure.

I find it easy to take for granted how stunning London can be.

Thank you, Callum. And thank you, Mr Exif (?). Is that 1m58secs? 8.52am?

Sorry for all the questions. Trying to get into this photography stuff.

1/58th of a second, Alex and the camera's only got a 12 hour clock in it mate, so eight to nine in the evening at about a sixtieth of a second. 8mm is the focal length the zoom was set to, about 28mm equivalent to a 35mm camera system. ISO is high ish, hence the noise in it, and I like to under expose digital shots a bit to lift the colour saturation. I didn't realise it was quite that far under but it did the job okay. I think it was set to program mode too. There's no point trying to out think the camera for a snap shot.

The EXIF is a set of tags embedded in the metadata of the image file, with all of the relevant information regarding it tagged onto the file.

I just sat it on the rail and hit the self timer. That way I didn't need to be touching it when it fired and risk camera shake at the low shutter speed.

If I had just been kissed by Alex I would have been more inclined to have jumped over the rail rather than record the moment. Great photo by the way.

You're setting yourself up for the mother, father and maternal grandparents of all slaps the next time we meet, David.

I shall unleash the full open-toed fury of SockDal. See if I don't.

Me and GaryB have been bouncing this one around this afternoon, trying to come up with a way to make it look presentable, silk purse, sow's ear etc.

It came from a walk across the marshes I took this morning. Really, really annoyingly, I crossed the railway line and was about a quarter of a mile further on over the flood plain when I heard this behind me. If I'd have stayed in bed for another 15 minutes I'd have been right there when it came past.
