Cheers mate. I was supposed to be trying out a new short zoom lens, but I only screwed it on a couple of times. I just love using the long ones. I'm just a voyeur at heart.

Just about catch Venus, Jupiter and some particularly funky clouds at sunset last night, hand held with the above mentioned lens.

I paid £270 a year ago for it and a friend of mine just got one from amazon for £152!

I can't justify the big bucks I'd need to invest in top quality glass for my use but I've been quite pleased with it.

Raph', here's that Chilean Blue we were talking about. The look on my face tells you how heavy she was. They reckoned it could take a Roe deer. I was more worried about my left eye.

My A8 on Inch Beach in Ireland last year, what a beautiful place!

The moon when it is at the closest it gets to the Earth

    A flower in my garden

    Sunrise from my bedroom

Two Ladybirds fucking, yes I saw this as I was about to knock on the door :)

This reminds me of a photo in an English language "O"level book in the 1960's. Every now and then we would choose a photograph and write an essay about it.
I remember another one; it was a boy of about 8 stood by a pile of wood in the middle of nowhere, like your photo. The good old days. NB the photos were always in black and white.

I remember similar books 'English Anthology' they were called. Full of poems and sections of prose, plus a lot of stark black & white lith prints.

It's a place called Hesteyri in northern Iceland. An abandoned whaling station in a tributary of the Isafjord.
