Took me an hour an i'm crap with spanners but thought i'd have a go. As JM1 says, split and remove one side of the subframe at a time, it was fairly easy I thought doing it that way

I did this on my non ABS no problem but the ABS has a load of gubbins under the tail piece so I haven't attempted it yet.

Has anyone removed the pillion pegs from an ABS model ?

If you do fit the plates, then you can fit them back on for your luggage or pillion :)

    Riders seat off
    rear seat/cowl off
    Rear fairing off
    undertray off
lift up where the fuses are (bolt hiding underneath)
    remove little plastic fairing
take out the 2 pop plastic rivet things
undo rear subframe bolt at rear
remove 1 side subframe bolts, then subframe will pull out and down abit so you can get a allen key in there
pull back up bolts in do same for other side
quite easy really, also when subframe side is down you can route wires.. pc5 wires etc inbetween the undertray and subframe there is like a little duct.. very handy

Ok I want to give this a try but the pics on the thread are no longer here

Was thinking pics from members would be handy for anyone looking at doing this
