That's a shame (put nicely). Despite the price, we would still expect them to stay on a bike that's manufactured with high speed capabilities.

@PauloHRC did not report any such problem after his track day. That leaves me with the impression that you're a much faster rider!!:D

Not sure what the top speed is around Oulton Park but I don't think I reached the dizzy heights of 150mph, but yes my Chinese fairings held up without any issues!

I know what you mean about where the belly pan meets the bottom of the side fairing. It's a bit tricky to get into place and I could see how if it wasn't fitted properly it may come apart at high speeds.

I anticipated this and I drilled holes in either side and used a push pins to hold the two parts together......obviously it works!

Picture to follow so you can give it a go!;)

:), I had to mod mine a bit too to fit the race headers so with standard ones it would be ok.

Cool, the bottom tabs were fine, it was the wider one an inch or so up on the front edge that had snapped off. Did the first trackday fine. I think it must have cracked a bit when I clipped it in. At least it didn’t fly off completely :).

My apologies, @PauloHRC . Mickster might be faster, but you're far smarter!!:D:D

Hmm. ......not sure it would be an accurate comparison. Not sure what track Mickster was at but at Oulton Park, even if your were giving it some stick in the fast group you'd struggle to hit 150mph purely because there is nowhere long enough to get up to that sort of speed...........on a track with long straights anyone can do them sort of speeds !! ;):D

@PauloHRC , I am looking at getting these. Have yours stayed on the tank okay? Any colour deterioration - despite the fact you haven't been riding because of all your overseas jaunts?;)

Yeah they've held up really well, but like you said they've not really seen to much action. They come in black or the burgundy gradient like the original honda ones. What are you getting them for??

I think the Rothmans kit looks nicer, will go better with white wheels too!

Castrol looks better with black wheels I think. Get it ordered matey! ;)

Don't get me wrong, I'm more for a Castrol colour scheme but if you do a Google search you'll see mostly black wheels on all Castrol racing bikes. You'll get away with white......but might be too white!

Depends how piniticky you are??? ;):D

I'm changing my wheel colour to black to achieve the 'look' I want. Plus black wheels will look awesome when and if I ever put my original body work back On! :)

I've put up with gold wheels long enough and I've never liked them :( Screenshot_20181103-095343.png

I think you already know that!!

Been flicking back and forth between Castrol and Rothmans for an hour now. Going for a brew and will then come back and bite the bullet. I actually think Rothmans looks a bit more 'classy' but I like the theme of red/green/white as a change to my other stuff. Would have to buy a new helmet for the Castrol, but my red/white/blue AGV will suit the Rothmans. Damn! I was on this thread way back when it started and I'm still impressed with @Jcdrum13 bike!

Yeah but he had black wheels remember?

He seems to have come on, shown us his Castrol and disappeared again? o_O

Whatever you pick you'll have a lot of enjoyment fitting it! :)

Just to complete my hijacking of @Jcdrum13 thread, I'll just let you know that I've ordered the Castrol. I reckon it will look okay with white wheels, but if worst comes to worst, I'll just latch on to the guy @PauloHRC uses to re-do his:D.

Sorry about the Rothmans @Spygoat . I might make up for it by buying a Rothmans VF1000R which you might not have got in USA (I know Canada didn't). Looks like this: (note the genuine ones had no mention of 'Rothmans' on them)

In case anyone is considering ordering a set of Chinese replica fairings and is curious about the customs charge, I have just received my customs bill which came to £67.05. This was made up of £55.05 Import VAT and £12.00 clearance fee. I was sent a letter direct to me from parcel force and paid the money on line. I was also able to select a day for delivery to my home. Pretty reasonable I thought. I now have a compete set of white and black 2016 fairings for just over £400 to put on my SP for trackdays next year. The originals can stay safe in my loft wrapped in bubble wrap.
