cheers wedge, I gather I will just need the DZUS fastener and not the fairing mount as the link for the bracket has this already Like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dzus-Pane...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45ff8daa23 as for the fuel pump easier than replace the duel mass flywheel I did back in Jan last year on my drive in the freezing cold. What a fun day that was and expense
You need both these buddy the brackets come plain ready to accept the dzus fastener holder and screw.. on the drive well done for that one !! honda cbr1000rr fireblade 2008 / 2012 race side fairing brackets cbr600rr HRC | eBay DZUS FAIRING & PANEL FASTENERS HEX HEAD-15MM STUD LENGTH-TMT 3.5-5.4MM 1PK | eBay
I can see why, yup another good suggestion Your going to kill me, next question .................... Undertray, yes the rear will lift with a little push together, went in nice but unsure what to do next with this. large gap? so undertray lid will not close and if it did lots of stuff about. i wanted to remove as little as I need so it's easy to fit and remove but this seems like it may need to be moved. which I would rather not do
ah thats a bit of a pain aint it as my 12 its all in the by the battery mine is completey bare and i didnt remove anything at all mate sorry give CRC a ring as its meant to be "stock" they should of taken this into account
In that case id cut a slot into the rear undertray they have given you as you wont have much room to play with mate
Right on, well Steve was out so has not got back to me. What do the legends guys do then to cover this up. I can get the tray to fit but will have a big gap left
Spoke to Steve and he popped on here to have a look at the issue while on the phone, he's going to give a few people a call as he's never had this issue raised before. Wedge is your a ABS 12 model? Hope Steve can do something for me. Would be a shame to have to bodge up a nice fairing with my lack of skills when it comes to fiber glassing.
As you can see, the tt legends have made their own custom covers, and retain the standard abs unit in its standard position. you wont find a solution unless steve sends an abs bike to wherever the crc fairings are actually made and has a moulding made for it. expensive stuff.
Bollox, well fingers crossed for something. I was hoping putting on track fairing would not end up being a nightmare and until now it's been pretty easy going. And would be a bloody shame to have a fairing from any company that does not fit 100% without having to cut it up or add bits due to gapes etc...
Right spend time time, tank and seat fitted, top fairing and bottom 95% there, cut and fitted BUT not sure with the stand as it hit's a bit once retracted, So Does not fullt clicl back into place but it's only 1/2 inch out
OK fiorget the rear undertray for now I have modded the bottom fairing so it will fit around the stand I still have to finish it off as it's only drying at the moment Basically trying to move or reinforce any areas of the fairing I have had to cut
balls, bought some 17. Dzus fastener kid for this and they came fitted today but must be to long as they once turn are too loose. what size did you get Wedge? I think the once from CRC that fit great are a bit smaller so thinking 14mm?
Hi buddy I got the ones on the link that I provided in last page to be honest I didn't know they came in different lengths I must of got lucky soz bud bikes looking sweet
