its not too bad but can be a bit tricky, solder iron needed. get the kits from the US via ebay you could always get someone to fit the leds like this fella Honda 2004-2005 CBR1000RR Gauge Backlighting - Bluegauges.com or if there is any uk ppl that do gauge alterations.

I would do it if was cheap and easy as its all apart but to much messing i would break something so best left alone, cheers though
well I think the only mod I want to do light wise is maybe brighter led's in my mirrors and headlight bulbs
My headlight is pretty bright already, the dash I can live with its just a shame they make it that browny yellow colour! And my gear indicator is blue so would look smart
I have just realised my dads a computer technician by trade so he can most prob do it for me, just can't find the LEDs on the net anywhere at mo
drop the fella at blue gauges a message and ask will he sell you some as far as I rem they are 3v smt leds
I think he was from US, every one selling them is from US or Hong Kong. It makes sence for me to do it tomorow if i can find someone from UK, while the bikes appart as I cant be arsed to take it appart again lol

I dicected the dash to a point it didnt want to go back together lol oh and the needle exploded into several pieces and my fingers were too fat to fix it! Anyway luckily she came home just before I launched it through the window As you can probably guess I decided I like the standard colour led after all or until I find someone that can do it for me
did you get it back together ok? I lost count how many times I had mine apart adding mods to it.thinking of changing the led's on mine but need a new solder iron...lost mine at work
I started a new thread for my last 2 days it's bees eventful lol http://1000rr.co.uk/general-1000rr-discussion/5913.htm#post97129 - have a look but basically done
