If the light comes on , then it's doing its job , the sensor is part of the fuel pump , and light is part of the PCB /dash and I don't think has a fuse ,So if it was not coming on , I would whip out the pump and test the sensor . But your light has come on . Sorted .
Thanks for that, was just a bit worried about how much fuel was left in the tank when the light came on, half an inch of fuel doesn't seem a lot.
The thing is Tony ,when you get to say 140 miles fill her up ,then next Time push for 150 and so on but when it comes on fill up as soon as possible. I tend to fill up every time I go out , average run is 90 miles back roads for me and I know my light will come on at about 130/140 miles depending on what riding mood I'm in .it has come on at 120 some times , depends how much you fill her up aswell
100 miles think about refuelling. 120 start looking for fuel. Problem is the range will vary on how you ride it, but the above usee to work for me on my rr7. Also was normally about time for a coffee/ice cream/bacon buttie.
The light on my RR7 usually comes on about 135ish in steady use. I tend to reset the trip meter when I fill so I can keep an eye on it, plus when I set out on the bike I'm not guessing what is left in it.
