The iPhone case looks sweet, and definitely cheaper than a TomTom/Garmin. The lack of touch ability while gloved would detract somewhat for me, but at the dosh you're saving I doubt that'll be a concern.
Just had a new update from TomTom. It incorporates the later maps, and has a winding roads option for bikers... how cool!
I use my iPhone and the 'NavFree' App. You can pay extra for speed camera spots and foreign maps, it uses GPS and the maps are all pre loaded so they don't need to use 3g, they're cheap and I've never had a problem with it. I would be interested in what case people recommend for their bike.
I have a Garmin Zumo 550 and it's a fantastic bit of kit. Knocks my old tomtom rider v1 out the water!
I've got a wicked sat nav called Dave, sorry I can't lend him to anyone, but I would be well and truly stuffed without it!
Cracking thread. I have inbuilt Command system in my Mercedes which is a good job because if Ling was reading the map we would go round and round in circles and still not end up where we started from. L has a Tom Tom XL something or other that works just as well as the Mercedes Command system. I also hear that the Tom Tom on the Iphone is also very good. I would be interested in hearing if anyone has seen a mount for the Tom Tom XL that might fit on the bike ?
Thanks Si I've ordered the telferizer mount for both the blade and the blackbird, also ordered up the case for the iPhone to suit. Probably saved me a few pennies on a full sat nav.
I bought one from telferizer for my XL it fits well on the bike just not waterproof Fits with telferizer mount and is very secure. Bob is very helpful
I already had 1 from last year when I was looking into it mate. So hopefully that'll be me all set. Just need to wait for the jailbreak to come out for my phone now

I got an email from Bob today and when I read that he would send the mounts out and then an invoice to be paid within 7 days of receipt, I knew then that the guy was really genuine. Rare to see these days and a pleasure to do business with.
