Yes it does mate, I was plesantly surprised. There's a zip at the top of the bag, and the pouch is folded up inside. I just thought it was another little storage area, its Attached with elastic and when pulled out there's two loops that attach around the two lugs at the side of the bag.
I'd hazard a guess that its designed for a smaller diameter satnav and the whole think tucks away when not in use.

If your thinking of one? And you need some more pics of it?
Rather than filling the thread, pm me and I'll send you some more shots in detail.

Gary what size of Sat Nav is in that 'Silver Bag'?

Looks a 5" to me which I hope it is because I lovin the cost of the Tom Tom XXL Classic at Halfords at £89

yep, five inch screen mate the whole unit is 5 1/2 inch "14.5cm" by 3 1/2 "8.5cm"

now ill deliver the not so good findings?, with the charger lead in place it doesn't fit in the bag, i.e the bottom lip of the pouch won't fold over enough for the velcro to meet easy fix, just add a strip?
but the good? is the sat nav fits nice and snug inside the map part at the top , and you can operate satnav without having to remove it, and it leaves plenty of space for any written instructions you may wish to keep visible.

Hold on tight, ill update this post with a couple more pics so you can see what i mean

    charger lead in place
    [IMG]

about an inch short for fastening

    fits snug in map compartment

    hope that helps?

my acid test, will be Scotland, im well happy the camera and other stuff that will go into it, ive got my power sorted out, so i can keep my phone/satnav on charge whilst on the move, im happy with the position of it on the tank, however, theres poles apart from sitting in the garage with it in place going brum brum than actually riding with it on, i am going to do as Alblade suggested, load it up as normal, then take the bike out and see how it goes, and that wont be for at least another month. if anything another inch or two forwards would be an advantage?

How have you sorted permanent power Gary?

Is there an adapter kit you can buy that connects to an ignition switched output with a water proof connector?

Having said that the connection to the Nav unit will be probably be inside the map holder so doesn't need to be waterproof but where is the connection end stored when not in use?

Does it have some sort of cap that keeps out moisture when not in the map holder section?

Sorry for the slow reply to your question,
I'm going to have to ask for a little bit of patience whilst I explain, as at present I have nothing visual.

So Aldi/lidl every so often bang out multi chargers.
The one I have is 3 ciggarette and 2 USB build in, so I will run this, minus the plug for going into a power socket. Into the battery, I will split it close to the bag with a male/female connector (so I can detach it from the bike)
There's no need to gut a hole in the bag, simply exit the power cable through the back, (nearest rider)just leaving a tiny gap between the double zips. Make a tale to and from the battery, forwards under the seat with an in line fuse to protect from spiking.
The little bit of cable that will not be visible when on the bike will be wrapped with a little bit of the adhesive foam to stop any rubbing on the tank.
In reality, writing this out, makes it sound complicated? A ten minute job with minimum fuss, and the ability to charge the iPhone/satnav whilst on the go, without any massive drain.

If you haven't sorted a suitable mount yet then I'd highly recommend getting one of these:

The Telferizer Custom Motorcycle RAM mounts for GPS Systems

Stick it in your headstock and use the Garmin RAM mount clasp to attach the Zumo and Bob's your uncle (/mount maker). Cheap, well-made and works brilliantly. Easy to fit & remove although I keep mine in year round now.

Can't you take it off completely ???

I would like to use the Ram Mount for my GoPro3 from time to time.

The TomTom Rider got only the tiny power cable with you can easy disconnect and hide,
and yo don't have to keep anything bulky on the bike.

Yeah you can take the last part of the RAM mount off as well, just leaving the small ball-joint in the top if the headstock.
