Exactly Hondu, how good does that look! Must admit the Rothmans colours has to be one of my personal favorites.
I was gonna ask if ud had trouble with police but on my last bike i rode past and even stopped infront of police cars for 3 months before i noticed my tax had run out 3 months ago and none of them even noticed lol
Mine blew off on the motorway around 3 weeks after i bought the bike. Never had one on the bike since, but do keep my new tax disc in my wallet.
I too used to keep my tax disc in my wallet until my best mate was asked at a bike meet by coppers, where was his tax disk? He told them he keeps it in his wallet and he got an on the spot 60 quid fine for none display. This was about a year ago.
I've been commuting in and out of London for years without displaying my tax disc, done 13yrs dispatch riding and never had my tax disc fitted to any of my bikes and never been nicked for not displaying it. I have been stopped on a couple of occasions and asked about my tax but once i explain about having discs nicked in the past and show them my valid disc they've been quite happy to let me on my way. Think your mate was unfortunate to get stopped by one of those anti-biker coppers...or your mate had a really bad attitude so the copper thought he'd teach him a lesson! lol
Same as other people have said I have never had any problems with not displaying the tax. As long as you have it on you and their database check confirms such I think you will be okay as I m sure the Police have bigger concerns IMO.
Yup .. mine was in my wallet until very recently ... but its now on the back of my numberplate .........
