Yeah, I realise that, but I'll be finishing work, and going straight to Calais to bed. Secure parking is booked with the hotel....so should be ok.
The train is overnight G, get there at 8 in the morning.

here you go Si - this is the route we done from Frieburg up to the Ring, was an awesome day mate, see that you have put Baden Baden down as your next stop after the ring but tbh i think that would make a bit of a short day. we done the attached and got to hotel for 9pm with a 12.30 start after changing tyres in the morning. Plus you would be that much further down and close to the Austrian border.

and dont be fooled by the short miles, this is pretty intense with pretty much 90% twisties, and if you crack on to freiburg you will finish the day at the end of the B500 which is some road and will have you buzzing dude. Freiburg is a lovely big town, or there are plenty of biker friendly places along the b500 further south. up to you mate.

Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany to Ring°racer, Nürburgring Boulevard 1, 53520 Nürburg, Germany - Google Maps

as for the the route to the ring from calais, we followed this, pretty decent but crunches out miles to start with.

this place is quality to stay, use it every time we go, tell Eddy your coming on the bikes and he will reserve you your own garage for the night. the restaurant is now run independently and they do awesome steaks!!

as for down to Como, we didnt come that way - so your on your own!! lol

No sweat dude, as your staying in Baden Baden, get to your hotel early then drop bags off early and go for a play on the 500 in the afternoon!

Stop at a place called mummelsee lake, there is a cool hotel with on the lake that was the SS hq (something like that) but about half hour down 500 from where you are and a lovely scenic place to have a well earned beer / shandy or dinner.

Oh and what's the link for the train, seems decent that, wouldn't mind having a look, might spend a few more days round nice and save the journey back!

All the hotels will be around £220 inc the chunnel from uk to calais, then the train and the ferry, so around £420. Petrol and eats are on top.
The petrol savings by getting the train and ferry even things out.
