I've got another warranty year to run on mine with 2 stamps. After they broke the lug on my fairing, left the tank cover screws undone and said nothing about it they're getting feck all out of me.They must of felt guilty cos they haven't asked for payment. The warranty is my only gripe so I'm using oe filters until it runs out.I'm doing the work myself so I know it's got done properly. My works stamp will do.

Thanks for the feedback some good advise as Giover said you can't beat the satisfaction of doing it yourself with a brew and the radio on in the background and then the beer at night after you finished .

So I will just make sure I keep all the receipts and log the mileage each time I service it.

    Thanks Jay :)

Just to add Jay, being so hands on with your own machine helps you notice when things need attention and aren't right, it becomes personal, you don't get that when you just ride it and hand it to a mechanic to keep road worthy. You gain confidence and become less afraid to tackle more complicated maintenance issues.

I pay for a service mainly to get the book stamped , it's only had its run in service and 4000 miler so because I'm still in warranty I'm sticking to Honda dealer , after the warranty period ill use my local bike garage as they are cheaper and personally I trust them more than the dealer I bought the bike of , I just don't want any issues if I need to claim in warranty

On my other bikes I service my self I keep the oil filter boxes and write the dates and milage on them when i done the service
