I presume you ride all year round, it may be worth squirting a hose at the bike on road salting days. In all seriousness things should not be corroding at that pace. Two sets of calliper pistons in three years 8000 mile a set! Did you see the ones they took out? Mike.
I do ride all year, and the bike gets a hose down everyday in winter plus a good wash, wax and a quick squirt of acf50 most weekends, also it get the Halo smart protection treatment from all year biker twice a year. It was not corrosion that was the issue almost all the pistons had chips out of them, which is the same as the first time they were changed under warranty.
I've not come across that, is it a common thing? I didn't mean to come across as implying you don't look after your bike, Just my clumsy way. Mike.
