Hahha I'd let u ride mine. Not sure what next years plans are mate. Rookie championship mayb. Got caravan ,tyres , van etc all sorted so hope to get loads of riding in. And some endurance with my mate and hope to see some of u boys there. Still more to find in my bike yea but I'd like to make it easier lol
Can't stop thinking about a Zx tho lol. Only for the traction really Anyone had a traction kit on a blade. Is it even necessary. Have an active brain I think
Blade ca put out big HP and torque all over the rev range, just like mine with not a lot of money. With pistons headwork and cams retimed or reprofiled, you can add pre than 30hp wheels to our Blade easily and with a lot of reliability.
I bump from 157 to 186 and i ve just a little profiled cams, with race cam and my engine you can hit 190/194 easily but you ll lost midrange.
There is power to be gained from porting the crankcase like in the HRC race kit manual. Labour intensive though a full strip down. Personally I really don't think I would like to trust anything other than my right wrist when it comes to traction control.
Do you means less reliability ? ??? For sure nop, things will low down reliability will be : too much compression and/or to much lift in cams and/or too much rev if you stay with normal number all will be right.
That's what I just heard from a bloke trying to sell me a Zx 10. He said Ooo be careful with 190 hp in a blade that will lower the realiablity of the engine quite considerable
wrong information. You can sort 185 hp without touching reliability. and if you have money just go with +2 mm piston and a set of carillo conrods, engine perfect.
basically the insides of the crankcases are machined out to allow better oil flow (well i assume thats the reason as the barrels aren't touched).had it done on a couple of my 07 engines, but not by me,already done.it's usually only something thats done to the top end bikes,WSB,full on factory spec etc.
Don't get sucked into bhp from the zx10.. Blade makes more torque and has more power right up to about 11k.. Us mortals will get more out of a blade on track than the fast boys will as they need the extra power.... Zx 10 comes into its own if you can carry more corner speed and get a faster exit. for the in slow out fast corners blades your tool I think or a decent 600. Bsb super stock 600 laptimes are all with 5 percent of the superbike laptimes.. There's your answer to more power needed
tbh he will have a point,or you'd see a lot more pushing that kind of power.at the end of the day it all comes to money, and also how opften you want to strip+refresh it. as i've told you before,it's relatively easy to get upto 185 ish, anything after that is crank/rods/pistons/porting/cams which is where the big costs come into it
Il stick to a blade I think. If it needs refreshing il deal with it then.its Just that he rang to tell me about the Zx I was interested in. Made me think twice. Got my head twisted as its a a lot of cash to spend and don't want to make the wrong decision My mates blade has hrc cams , port , Polish , gasket , funny style spark plugs
Is it not breather related as well, reduces crankcase pressure gives less resistance for the pistons going down, 10bhp to be had from it I'm told. Not bad from a few square and triangle shapes cut out or opened up. No real surprise the guy trying to sell you a ZX10 is warning you off other bikes.
