If you can be content with the family and friends you have around you and you're open minded enough to take on less exposing hobbies to danger then what's the prob....? ultimately you have to be feel happy in what you do with your life! all the best, and keep ya chin up! chilli.
That's awesome, I want one. Just £17.5k wonder what the import taxes would be As far as giving up biking goes no I don't think you should give up. Not on the back of seeing something that stirred up a bad memory anyway. What you saw bears no relation to you or what's going to happen in your life. That's down to your actions and fate. Get yourself over to Herts on Sunday.
Cheers mate, I plan on taking a bit of time out from the bike (weathers shit anyway) I shouldn't really be riding so soon after the knee replacement anyway so not end of the world. I'm thinking a lot more positive the last few days and had some helpful chats with the mrs who is really positive with my biking which is good considering what's she's put up with and seen me go through. I think I will be fine by next summer, but wouldn't be safe for me to ride with my head where it is right now
Instead of saying yes, you should give it up and get a jet ski, i would suggest looking at all the events in a timeline since and cast your mind back to the feelings you felt at the time. You had NO doubt that anything was going to stop you biking, you had no doubts and you did what you set out to do. I dont think the scene of what you witnessed has really changed your mind, from what i can tell it made you stop and think from the other side of the fence of your own experiance... for the first time you have had to witness something raw and real, that was similiar to your own accident, and now you have both sides/thoughts/feelings to weigh up. I once blurtted out to a mate, "It's always easier to see the picture when your not in it". It was a completey different situation, but it still works. Im not sure where this saying came from?! Although it seemed to fit just right in the situation! It doesnt answer or fix your question or uncertainity, but it might help in someway!
- Glad you feeling a bit better about your dilemma, Ive always been the one to think when your time is up its up . My best friends sister 34 Gemma diagnosed with cancer 2 1/2 months ago sadly passed away 3 weeks ago. So while im still here im gonna have has much fun as i can and give my kids the best time while they are kids cause they grow so quickly because you never no whats around the corner
Well as you all know I decided to put the bike away until next year and decide if I wanted to continue riding. Well all those sunny days I missed riding on I couldn't resist spending the cash I saved on fuel on little bits for the bike, I run out of the little affordable mods or cash to do it lol I went to put the cover back on looked at the sun shinning slipped on my leathers and took her out for a short blast to test the mods, well that was this morning and I have just got home God I missed her, how could I ever of given her up Anyway tucked back away till the summer
Exactly why you shouldn't "tuck away" till next year.... It's those days which make winter riding so good!
The trip was glorious. The install went horribly wrong, but there is something about the A303 that I find really relaxing to drive. The only time I got stuck in traffic was back in bloody Exeter but I managed it in two and a half hours each way to a place in Chineham Court.
I tell you what, we have had some gorgeous mornings recently. As mentioned before, watch out for the wet leaves and tractor muck. but you cant beat the winter sun bouncing off your repsol paint on a chilly morn! smile fellow bladers smile, were only here once!
There was a most brilliant sunset as I came over the top of the rise looking down across Yeovilton base. Unfortunately, for an hour and a half before that I was staring straight into a star. Now where's me cocodamol....?
I dunno I'm more of a summer rider, I need to repair my seat after my arse took a couple of bites out of it this arfternoon, fecking leaves! Plus the arthritis kicks in worse this time of year in the right wrist and thumb and the left hip and knee, god I sound old!
