I believe that some of us forgot about the actual context of Repsol's01 post.
All he said was that in his opinion it was ‘wrong to send a child in a primary school home with a book like this’. Full stop.
Neither Repsol01, nor anyone else here said that it is ‘wrong to be gay’ or it is ‘wrong to teach children about different sexual preferences’!

It is simply the issue of at what age. And I fully agree with Repsol01, primary school, and judging by the pictures/sentences, it is aimed at kids aged 6-8, is far too early.
