Hi All, I've finally managed to find 5 minutes to get online, so apologies for hardly ever posting.

If it's any use to you, I have arranged an embroidered fleece order for another forum that I supply to, but, not being able to do this myself, had to sub-contract it out. the experience wasn't an easy one, and we ended up going for a single colour embroidered logo just on the left breast, as anything else proved to be just too expensive unfortunately.

Unless anyone here knows someone who can arrange this type of embroidery in relatively small quantities, I would guess that the cost is likely to be prohibitive. Sorry to sound so negative, I love the idea and look of these jackets.

I also agree with setup costs - they are a killer to make up the tape to load into the machine.

Its a shame but printed MUCH cheaper, but looks nowhere as good

Will ask at a place at a market for prices in the Arndale

to ad I have sent all traders a Email or Pm about this subject but forgot to say we are not expecting anything just a idea members would like to have on a forum Fleece. I for one would love to see this on a tee fleece etc... but won't cost the trader anything.

Certainly something that we'd look at. Although embroidery set-up can be very expensive, it's not to bad if your getting a lot done or will be in future but for small runs it can work out expensive.

Maybe printing would be a better choice?

Why I did the tee above. Not as nice as a fleece but I know printed can't be put on a fleece

I know set up fees are expensive, even if traders paid half and the rest divided by the numbers ordered it still can be reasonable. I've a friend who does embroidery for some road race teams over here. He has a lot of other trader logos on his computer that he won't charge for. For example, we could also put logos on that we use as aftermarket parts. Hel brake lines, Dunlop tyres, pazzo levers and so on. If I remember he's normally £3 per logo. Last time I ordered stuff from him he put your name on free. If the Moderators are happy I will call with him tomorrow and get some samples of logos he has just to gage a price. Will ask for his set up charge for the traders logos as well. I know from experience you never stop with just a fleece. Then it's a long sleeved t shirt, polo shirt and my favourite a base layer for under leathers

the set up fee's they usually charge is just there fee for doing
a vector file, I used to get stuff done all the time dirt cheap as
a friend of mine done all the vector file stuff for free for me.
got all custom badges on my leathers.

I feel that as long and nige who does our gear via Pittys is happy for us to get prices via people we know then all should be fine.

But if nige can get us prices if he was also to do this for us also that would be good

I'd be happy for this especially if they look like these as they do appear to be good quality.

Let me know how it goes :)
