On a subject such as this, think I am right in saying that a lot of the comments are made tongue in cheek. Banter.

I quite like this thread, coz it's all about people's opinions of mods... and everyone is entitled to an opinion, and NO ONE should take it personally if someone has a polar-opposite opinion.

I'm always interested to hear people's opinions... doesn't mean I agree, but it's good to hear differing viewpoints.

Let's not go back to shooting people down for having the courage to let us know their opinion!

Too right mate. As long as their opinions are broadly in line with mine of course. Naturally, I do accept that even I myself could be wrong. There's a first time for everything. :D

Blasphemy time maybe but I don't really like carbon weave apart from a very few exceptions. There I said it and will put myself on the naughty step in the naughty corner. Don't hate me for being different ;)

At the risk of being ostracised, I agree... the top-of-the-range CF used by those with real money does look good... but the run-of-the-mill stuff churned out by Powerbronze and the like, looks cheap and nasty (in my opinion......)

And don't get me started on "carbon fibre" yoke covers and fuel-cap surrounds.... yeuchh!!!

When I owned Harley Davidson's I used to get a lot of stick from people who didn't have them, comments and misinformed opinions but what they never grasped was the fact that I have also have a Brit or Jap missiles next to ' That crappy ' Harley Davidson. At the end of the day we all have a different opinions of what is tasteful or not, personally its good just to poke some fun every now and then, and snigger when someone doesn't get it.

I will buy another Harley in the future regardless of what people think and I will own a fast plastic rocket despite what some Harley owners think of them, but I hope no one ever holds my opinion to close on mods or choice of bike.

Not a big fan of iridium screens or anodised tat like bolts and reservoir caps etc

I personally don't like the like the look of swing arm bobbins, they spoil they look IMO. I use an ABBA stand, much easier to hoist the bike up.
