Funny that as I've noticed there's a slight gap around the tail tidy bracket that bolts to the underneath of the bike, so I've bought this

There is also no seal between the rear light cluster and the plastic tail section, this too is a source of water ingress I think.

In that case fill the whole tail up with silicon and carve out the desired 'boot' you need lol

Pmsl I was thinking of a neat little bead of silicone in the very slight gap round where it bolts on. May have to go back to wickes . How many tubes to fill under the single seat pod ?

Just ordered myself an Optimate USB adapter thingy, but I have my battery connector currently exiting at the side of the bike at the front of the sub-frame. Hopefully that means I can still keep the phone in my pocket or tank bag when I use it for sat-nav.

Of course that means I can easily forget it's connected and walk away from the bike whilst ripping wires apart....

I'd re route the cable to under the pillion seat instead of it hanging out the side, easy job unless it's an abs model as there's less room cos of the massive abs unit

My Optimate lead is routed to the Dash area.

Anything which needs plugging in (bar the Sat Nav) lives in my dry Tank Bag.

Only things under the rear seat are a pack of baby wipes and a small towel wrapped up in a plastic bag!

Same as me - baby wipes under the rear seat. No hardened biker should leave home without 'em :D

To say these are for a baby's arse , you wouldn't think they had anything harsh in them. However they seem to have a shit load of chemicals in them and also some sort of alcohol. I'm a tad worried my helmet may get weakened using summat like this ? Thoughts ?

A pack of visor wipes are a quid which I use. I'd have thought babywipes would leave a slight residue??

Hardened bikers carrying around baby wipes....

Yes they do leave a slight residue but that's what the small T Towel is for.

Been no probs at all for me.

And your helmet smells lovely and baby lotion fresh :)

AND - they're good for cleaning leathers with too - moisturises and nourishes. As I said, no hardened biker should leave home without 'em ;)
