I hope not but judging by the trellis effect they have made its quite a lot of metal cut away i am leaning towards it being true

It has unthreaded points that were for rear pegs. These could be drilled out for more weight saving ;-)

What's with this weight saving thing? If you are the size of Dani Pedrossa I get it but most of us could shed a stone or so. It's a cheaper option than a light weight subrame and you will feel better for it.

Yes very true but why not lose some body weight and also reduce the weight of your bike too?

There must be a point of diminishing returns with this weight saving that is cost V weight saving. I think we all need to be honest and admit there is more than enough power in a stock weight Fireblade. What it really is an excuse to spend vast amounts of money on shinny bits and pieces. I already only weigh the same as Dani P so I think I am allowed to buy lightweight parts but I've seen a few pie eaters on sportsbikes where you would need some serious lightweight parts to offset the pies.

What we need the Honda Fireblade Carlsberg Edition - with everything you could ever want fitted as standard.

TBH not a great deal unless you are looking to reduce weight on the whole of the bike. They do look awesome and thats another selling point.
They are around £400 from dealers.
